Port Royal Yacht Club has historically hosted two premier racing events during the year, our Classic Regatta in the Spring and our Pirate Regatta in late Summer. In 2023, we added a twilight summer series, the June Cup – Women at the Helm to our racing portfolio. In 2025, we are partnering with SCCYC to re-introduce the Corinthean Cup 2-day series in July. All regattas take place in the Santa Monica Bay near Redondo Beach.
In cooperation with our sailing program, PRYC competes for recognition for the SCYA’s Club of the Year award. As part of this, we get points by participating not only in our own regattas, but also in the SCYA’s Midwinter events!
